Ripple is a lighting exploration derives from practicing with woodworking techniques such as steam-bending and staves construction. It is made of ash with a concrete base. While having the same curvature, the steam-bent staves alternate around a circle to shape a rhythmic form. The thin edges and top rim reveal a weightless impression. The warm and soft light bounces between the staves to lighten the beauty of natural wood grain, also creates a calm atmosphere.
